Learn the Mandolin using our own teaching methods developed over thirty years of teaching.

We emphasize chords, scales and backup, as well as jam techniques and improvising. Right and left hand techniques are broken down and explained for you. Whether your interest is in Bluegrass, Old-Time, Jug Band or Blues we will study lots of tunes in your chosen style.

Regardless of the type of music you are interested in, the necessary playing skills are the same. We will study transcribed solos of master players, and you will learn how to use these techniques in your own playing. You will be provided with exercises designed to increase your speed and knowledge of the fretboard.

ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS ARE WELCOME and a formal education in music is not necessary. All lessons and tunes are emailed to you in easy-to-read tablature format.   We will even help you find an instrument that's suited to your skill, ability and budget.
